Devinn Lane is a well-known name in the porn industry. Before entering the industry in 1999 Devinn was a stripper and a lap dancer. Her dancing jobs led on to magazine layouts; Club International in 1998 and then Penthouse where she became Penthouse Pet Of The Month October 1999.
In 1999, whilst appearing on The Howard Stern Show Devinn was spotted by the owner of Wicked Pictures. He liked the look of her and the way she handled herself, so he offered her the opportunity to become a Wicked Pictures contract girl.
Devinn had only been making movies for six months when she began work as a Wicked contract girl. Before then she’d featured in films for the studios Vivid, Dreamland, New Sensations and Video Team.
At the beginning of her career, Devinn would only shoot girl-girl material. With the very occasional exception, such as a very brief boy-girl encounter in the series ‘7 Lives Exposed’ that she created and sold to Playboy TV.
Devinn prides herself on being an extremely headstrong and intelligent lady and it was not long before she progressed from not only starring in the films but also to producing and directing for Wicked Pictures. In 2001 she produced and starred in the film ‘Beautiful/Nasty’ that ended up wining the 2002 AVN Award for ‘Best Box Cover’.
In 2002 Devinn began directing films. Her debut was the start of the film series ‘The Devinn Lane Show’ that she has continued to direct the sequels to over the years. In 2004 Devinn also began directing the series ‘Road Trixxx’, a reality porn series. The number of films that Devinn has directed continues to rise.
It was never Devinn’s plan to make her mark on the porn industry as a performer, although since her progression to filming boy-girl material in 2002, her loyal fan base has grown even larger. Devinn now owns her own production company – Lane Entertainment – and is more than willing to put in the hard work necessary to build it up to the same league as the big companies. She loves a challenge and will always rise to the occasion. The aim of her production company is to produce material that men really enjoy to watch but that women are not offended by.
Despite growing up in a sexually repressed atmosphere and at times feeling uncomfortable with her sexuality Devinn is now well and truly out of the closet as truly bisexual. When looking for a partner Devinn likes confident, ambitious people. Arrogance is the number one turn off for her. |
